The Narcissus Flower School workshops are presented to students wishing to learn the traditional craft of floristry in a modern school. Our tutors are involved in all aspects of the school from the creating and planning of new and engaging classes to the organisation of the Flower School space and corresponding with students. We are looking for another tutor to join our existing team as our Flower School continues to grow and expand. Hours are approximately 2-3 days a week to start with room for growth. Based at our Flower School in Abbeyhill. Immediate start preferable.
Skills and responsibilities:
Narcissus Flower School are looking for a talented and experienced individual with extensive knowledge of all aspects of floristry design, including corporate and events floristry, weddings from bouquets to installation, as well as funeral and sympathy flowers. The candidate will have an understanding of classic flower arranging as well as the creativity to push boundaries and produce cutting edge contemporary design.
Exceptional and consistent attention to detail, a passion and knowledge of flowers and foliage, with an interest in plant varieties encouraged. Experience of working with others is essential as the candidate will be working as part of a very busy team, contributing to the general running of the business and other important events and notable dates in the floristry calendar as required.
Experience of delivering classes in a workshop setting is highly desirable. The candidate will have demonstrable administrative experience, as well as excellent IT and communication skills. They will be required to work together with the Creative Development team and Flower School Manager to deliver innovative and exciting new classes tying in with the floral calendar and seasonal availability, keeping up to date with current industry trends and setting new standards for floristry tuition.
Salary dependent on experience.
